5 Fun Fall Crafts for Tots

Here's what you do:
Depending on the age of your child, you would draw the outline of a jack-o-lantern and its face on the outside of the bowl. Then let your children fill in the face and pumpkin with the appropriate colors. You will want to use your best judgment, as the vase or bowl is glass. Depending on the age of your children, you can also do this project with a clear Tupperware-type bowl and instead of including a candle, you can use it as a candy dish for Halloween candy.

After the paint is dry, fill the bowl or vase with water and light the floating candles.

Wacky Pumpkins
Pumpkins as unique as your child!

You'll need:
Real pumpkin of any size
Several colors of paint
Paintbrushes
Pipe cleaners
Wiggle eyes
White tacky glue
Black permanent markers

Here's what you do:
Take your child to the pumpkin patch and select a few pumpkins of different sizes, shapes and even colors. When you get home, cover a workspace with newspaper, then set out bowls of different colored paint and paintbrushes.

Let your child paint his pumpkins. (You can draw on a face or pattern for him to follow with a marker or pencil.) Allow the pumpkins to dry.

When dry, let your child glue on the wiggle eyes and pipe cleaners for "hair."
