Mouse Costume

Tail:
The last step is to create and attach the tail. Fold the cone piece of fabric in half lengthwise. Using thread, sew a seam, leaving only the flat end open. Be sure to make the seam at least 1 inch into the fabric so that it doesn't come apart. Then, turn the fabric inside out. Stuff the tail before proceeding with attachment.

Close the open end of the tail by folding it over, then attach it by stitching it onto the rear of the sweat suit. Be sure your stitch is strong (consider reinforcing it) so the tail doesn't come off.

TIPS
  • Remember to cut the drawstrings on the hooded sweat shirt short so that your child doesn't get tangled in them.
  • Matching stretch gloves or mittens look great with this costume.
  • If your child will let you, draw whiskers on the face with non-toxic face makeup.
