Is My Child Gifted?

Although all parents think their child is gifted (as they should!) there are some traits toddlers often exhibit that are associated with giftedness. Here are a few of them:

  • Passes developmental stages earlier than average
  • Masters new skills quickly
  • Has an advanced vocabulary
  • Tends to dominate activities
  • Is a natural organizer
  • Has superior spatial skills, for example, can build difficult shapes with blocks
  • Understands patterns
  • Demonstrates advanced reasoning skills
  • Asks questions that seek to find meaning, rather than just explanations
