Halloween Spooktacular
Party Ideas That Won't Make You Batty! By Lori Bonner
I found this great idea in a grocery store publication several years ago. Spread out a white sheet on the floor, making it as smooth as possible. Have each guest take a turn lying down in the middle of the sheet. They should fan out their hair around the top of their heads. Then they make their best "scared" face. The photographer snaps the picture while standing directly over the guests. In the finished picture, the guests appear to be looking at something so terrifying that his or her hair is standing on end.
Spider Yo-Yo
For each yo-yo you will need a black paper cup, a water balloon (one-third full and tied), black and white construction paper, google eyes and a 20-inch length of thin elastic cord. Trim off several inches around the open end of the cup to make the spider the desired height. For the legs, cut eight strips from the black construction paper and fold each accordion-style. Glue or tape one end of the legs around the inside edge of the cup's opening. Glue the google eyes onto one side of the cup. Cut fangs from the white construction paper and attach to the edge of the cup under the eyes. Using a sharpened pencil, poke a hole in the bottom center of the cup. Thread the elastic string through this hole. Tie the end of the string inside the cup to the water balloon. Make a finger loop in the other end. Put the loop over your middle finger and make the spider jump! Hide and Shriek
