After the Shock
September 23, 2006
Well I can say that the shock of the last few weeks is slowly starting to wear off. I still cannot believe that the love of my life my absolute best friend was so close to death. The girls have really handled everything better than I could have asked. They behaved like angels when my mom was watching them and now that we are home they are the same. Emmy keeps saying, " My daddy is really sick. He has a big boo boo." She of course has no idea that she almost lost her daddy. Abbey realizes it and has been a BIG help. She watches her sister and keeps her quite and she keeps asking if she can do anything for us. She is such a loving and kind girl. I feel so blessed to have my family. Mike is feeling so much better. He still can't drive so he has asked me to take him places. Today I dropped him off at the Chinese restaurant so he could veg out while I went to watch the end of camp.
On a lighter note Abbey had school pictures last Friday and I managed to get the hair bows made for her hair so she looked extremely cute. She had cheer camp today. She had so much fun. It was 6 whole hours of cheerleading. They learned floor cheers and sideline cheers and a dance and some jumps. Abbey got two surprises. She got to be the flyer (girl who gets to be on top and gets throw in the air) she thought this was fun. The second surprise was she won most spirited at the camp and he picture will be in the paper. She has also decided to cheer forbasketballseason so I need to sign her up in the next two weeks. I finally got to see what her new "boyfriend" looks like. He is blond and it is cut in a shaggy fashion and when I saw him today he had on a Motley Crue tee shirt. Yes the kid is only in the first grade.
We have had our week of birthday's starting with Mike's on the 20 my moms on the 21, my sister on the 22 and Mike's moms on the 23. I think it all went well. I ordered my sister a present and it hasn't come in yet but I think she will like it. I started work finally. I was supposed to start the day after the surgery but I didn't since I was at the hospital. I really think I am going to like it. It is taking me some getting use to the swing of things but I do think I will enjoy it. Emmy LOVES the babysitter who is the mother of Abbey's best friend. I have a GREAT group of threes I am really excited about everything we have planned. Emmy has been a very sweet girl latelely. Well I always think she is sweet but she can be difficult when she wants to do something other than what we are doing. She doesn't automatically scream when she doesn't get her way. I tried to attach a picture of Abbey in her cheerleading uniform. For some reason it was taking forever so I gave up.
