Getting it all together

November 20, 2006

Out of the mouth of Abbey. Mom why do you always get to pick out what we have for supper? Why can't I pick. My reply, because you would have us eating French fries every night. Abbey replied not every night we could have tater tots too. The roller coaster feeling of my life is starting to slow. I actually feel like I have some control over the things that are taking place. I am still staying really busy but it is with stuff that makes me feel happy. My best (non family member) friend volunteered me to be the assistant coach for our daughters cheerleading squad. If you know me this will strike you as very funny. I have always looked the part 4 foot 10 and less than 100 pounds (well before kids anyway) but I have always leaned more toward the nerdy side so I was never a cheerleader. Abbey absolutely loves it she said she wants to be a cheerleader/dentist when she grows up. So I agreed to help with the cheers and kid control at least I know I can do that. At the moment I am making hair bows for them. The current coach was a member of the local college's cheerleading team. They have 21 national championships. So you would think they would be doing really cute cheers and stuff. That is not the case. They had much better cheers for Football season. The cheers they are doing now are really old and tired. My mother in law said they were doing some of them when she was in school. Abbey likes it and I guess that is all that matters. Her allergies seem to be getting better. She had a pretty bad rash on her arms this week nut I refilled her script for Zyretc (is this drug preferred on anyone's drug list)? We have a really good prescription policy. We have never come across something that was non-preferred but this stuff is. 40 a month is what I will be paying. As anyone compared this medicine with Claritin? Claritin is on our list and it has a generic so it will be really cheap like 4. I wouldn't normally complain but now once I buy all her allergy medicine and my husbands and other daughters reflux medicine it is outrageous. And we have insurance. I just can't imagine if we didn't. Abbey's nose spray Nasonex is 94 dollars if you don't have a prescription plan. I can't imagine that it really costs that much to make. My husband is a Chemist and I know that stuff gets priced way higher than costs them. Mike got a new car. I was looking at a minivan but he REALLY did not want it. Which was fine with me because I love my current car. I have had it since it rolled off the line I picked out its color any everything so I am happy I didn't have to get rid of it. I have often joked that it is my third daughter. I went shopping for him a car and I found a beautiful ford Taurus. It is lovely and has hardly any miles and we got a good deal on it so all in all I am pleased and he loves it. Which always makes me happy. Abbey wanted the van until she saw her daddy's car then she was happy too. Emmy has enjoyed having her daddy home while we were car shopping. He worked in the evening so I could have the car. She has started waking up when I get Abbey up for school, which is nice I can just fix breakfast once. I just wish she would go to sleep with Abbey. She does still not want to nap but she doesn't want to go to sleep at night either. She has also started asking for everything she sees on TV. All day long I here oh my Gosh look at that Can I have that for Christmas Please. I say maybe and leave it at that. Abbey has stopped doing that. She wants Littlest Pet Shop stuff and that is it. It amazes me the stages they go through and it seems as soon as one is getting out of something the other is coming into it. Emmy really loves babies and Barbie's.
