What a year
December 29, 2006
Christmas was great. I enjoyed not having to travel. I did have to work the Christmas
Eve service but that wasn't too bad and I still got there in time see everyone
open their presents. I love that about being an adult. I love seeing the kids
go totally crazy over their presents. My nephew freaked out when he opened his
lightening McQueen car. My mother in law loved the shirt I got her with all the
kids' names on it. It was nice. We opened presents with my dad and sister at my
house it was nice I wish that was a tradition we could keep up. The girls got
so much stuff. I had them clean out the toy room before Christmas and donate a
bunch of stuff. I think they have enjoyed their video now's more than anything.
I bought a few videos for them to share and they have been really good so far
about taking turns.
I got a lot of neat stuff. I finally got the charm I wanted with both of the
girl's names on it. I have a digital camera that I have enjoyed. I got a dishwasher (what's not to love about that) I have been using that everyday. I hate doing
dishes I was extremely excited about the dishwasher.
My husband has said multiple times that 2006 was the worst year ever. I really have to disagree it doesn't seem to be too bad. Ok yes Abbey started out the year with strep continually from January until her tonsils were taken out in June, which led to her throwing up and ripping the scabs, which involved a night in the ER and very strong sedative. My crazy mood swings finally led me to getting treatment and for the first time since High school I feel completely wonderful (well most of the time anyway). We can't forget the pericarditis that led to my husband spending a week in the hospital and having surgery on his heart, his grandfather dying, and his mom having gallbladder surgery. We have to look at the outcome though Abbey is healthier than she has been in ages we even figured out why she is having eczema flare ups and are fixing that. So everything has worked out and except the final week of 2006 being spent with a stomach virus hitting our entire family we are all doing wonderful. I have a job I love again. It is only part time but teaching is great I love it. Abbey has a hobby she loves and is doing great in school. And Emmy is still amazing me every day. All in all I am looking forward to 2007.
I am going to try to attach a picture from Christmas but so far I have been unsuccessful.

If this pictures comes through it is of Emmy, Abbey, and My nephew Matthew sitting by the tree.
