Happy Easter
April 8, 2007
Happy Easter Everyone!!
Hope your Easter is great! DH had to work today so it was up to me to make the Easter Bunny show up. I think I pulled it off not too shabby. Beans was playing nintendo in the living room and Kassy was watching him (she's not feeling good at all) and I snuck out the back door and put some chocolates and whatnot out there. Then I pretened to play on the computer and told Beans, "Go and answer the back door please. I heard someone knock. And no you can't go outside to play right now" so he went fully prepared to see his buddy, our neighbour, Levi. But instead there was all the treats and all of a sudden there was a shout from the back yard, "Mommy!!! It wasn't Levi!! It was the Easter Bunny!!!" After a bunch of giggles and "Oh my goodness's" the chocolate was in the house, on the table and Beans was a happy child. Kassy barely looked outside before she had the need to be sick again :( I hate when that happens. I mean I never want to see my children sick--I would rather be sick if it spared them. But to see my child sick on a holiday just sucks. The Gravol I gave her to calm her tummy seems to have kicked in and she is snuggled with my favourite blanket on the couch and is fast asleep.....and there is Beans bouncing around the house high on sugar and choloate!
Beans got a awesome report card for being in the first grade! For a child that has been at home and not in a daycare situation, or have the benefit of attending preschool, he has caught up nicely. He is still having some tough times in Math and in reading, but I am trying to work with him on those areas. I was never a good math student, and English was also not a strong point with me. WIth him starting grade 2 in September, and Kassidy starting Kindergarten I am starting to really think about getting a full time job. But I am also thinking of waiting it out one more year till Kassy is in school full time (here kindergarten is only 1/2 days) We'll see. That is one thing I have learnt being a mom......everything has to be taken one step at a time!!
Happy Easter to all of you and hope your day is chocolate-licious!!!!
