I might not know what it all means, or even says, but it is one of my most favorite time gifts I have ever recieved. Gene and I just talked about "detail" in pictures a bit ago. He told me his teacher told him to put more detail into his art. I asked Gene if he understood when she ment by that, and he said no. So I explained to him what detail means, and what I thought his teacher was asking of him. Well, looks like some of my words DO sink it because after each question there is a picture to follow. Not only is there evidence of him erasing letters till he was happy but the DETAIL that he put into it......I am amazed!! Not only am I "stick faced" but I have earings on, make up on, and most importantly a HUGE smile across my face. There are clouds in the blue sky, a sun shining, his bed with our cat on it, and the two of us just smiling. Of course he is too young to understand, and even when he is older he won't undertand to the fullest of how I feel about this book till he is a dad himself. But when I look through the book I realize what I was made to do as a "career". I was so ment to be a mom. I have yet to be able to read that book without shedding a few tears. Parenthood is NOT one of the easiest things to endure. But for sure the MOST rewarding one of all.
Gene.....you wished me a Happy Mother's Day and I thank you. I also want to thank you for completing me. You are one of 3 of the most important people in my life. Without you I would be lost. When I got that first positive pregancy test I KNEW my life was being made complete. You are the best son a mother could ask for. So THANK YOU BABY!
Love,
Mommy
