"Daddy needs a time out!!!"
Introduction
And that is just what he got!!
Last week or so was hubby's (James) day off from work. It also was a day off from school for Gene. Gene got caught lying so he was grounded from the computer, tv, nintendo, etc. So James decided to play his nintendo and I thought, "Noooo, not right now, since Gene is upstairs grounded" and told James as much. Now, James being his cute, innocent self didn't like my new found rule of the day and tried arguing his way why he's gonna play it. When it was clear that I wasn't gonna budge (ahhh he married such a stubborn lady!) he chucked the controller---well James also married a "Sassy" lady too and I decided to have some fun with this. I informed Kassy that "daddy threw the controller in the livingroom" and she agreed that that was enough for a punishment. So after a "spanking" James was sent to the corner to sit to think about what he did wrong. By this time I was having a blast with it and inforced all the rules that I do with the kids when they have time out. If you talk, the timer goes longer. If you turn around, the timer goes longer. So there is my handsome husband, who is 6 feet tall, sitting on one of the kid's play chairs in the corner. He was reminded by his daughter and wife that he needed a few minutes to think about what he did and why throwing things was not a good idea. He was such a good sport about it all cause I was about to lose it with laughter! Yesterday James was playfully arguing with me and I annouced to the kids, "Daddy is arguing with me! Do you think he needs a time out??" The kids said yes and James, very fast i need to add, said sorry!
I don't think I realized just how much I love that man of mine!!! How many dad's would put up with that just to bring some smiles to everyone's faces for the day? Hon, when you read this, you are the best!!!
