Christa 's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 15, 2003

Austin is having an exciting week at school. He is the VIP student of the week! He was just talking to his dad Thursday about wanting to be VIP and then Friday we get a letter from his teacher that Austin was picked for VIP of the week. So this week he got to take some pictures of him, his mom and dad, brother, and other family members. And he big thing was he got to take his favorite toy! He was so excited. They put all the pictures on a bulletin board for display. He gets to be the teachers helper and line leader for the week. He is really enjoying this week the most. He loves school in general but this week is "his week". It is so cute to go over and watch him as he leads the class to lunch or recess. He just grins great big and waves at me. He is just adorable. He is doing very well in class! He and I sit and talk every evening about what he did that day. I think I have met a new child everyday this week. Today was a cute little girl, she just grinned and said, "Hi Austin's mom!" Of course Austin told her my name was Christa. So she said "hi Miss Christa!" with a great big smile. So sweet.

Driving the big truck. Or that is what Austin calls it. He loves riding in his papa's suburban. He always has liked it. As much of a blessing as it is, that thing is HUGE! Our car broke down over 2 weeks ago and we have been driving FIL's SUV till our car gets fixed. Of course we are trading it in right after getting it fixed and getting a van or SUV. We need something with more room.

Well we haven't been doing much else. Austin is loving school, and I am loving my school, and Don is really enjoying spending time with the boys in the evenings while I am at school. Everything is going pretty good, except for the car thing.
