Austin has yet another loose tooth. Right beside the one that came out recently. He was asked the other day if the tooth fairy brought him a dollar for his tooth. His reply: "No! I got change!" We laughed cause all that "change" equaled a dollar. The tooth fairy realized that she didn't have a dollar bill that night so she dug down in her bag and gathered a dollar in coins. Hehe!
MOM'S DAY AT THE WONDERS OF WILDLIFE MUSEUM
On Monday of this week the CVB (convention and visitors bureau) came to class to talk to us about what they do and their new program called Discover Springfield. Well we ended up getting a card to get in free to some of the area attractions. The class is taking a field trip every Thursday to one of them. This last week was the Wonders of Wildlife. Not something I am into. But it turned out to be a VERY interesting tour. To say the least! There was five of us students, all female, and our teacher which is also a woman. Yeah 6 women touring a wildlife museum. We were interested in some things, the bald eagle, beavers, otters, some fish, even has a virtual fishing area. Not interesting to me, but another girl tried it. We continued through seeing all the fishes, and other nature stuff. Then walked through what was supposed to be a cave, yeah and there in a glassed cage thing was a freakin' bat!!! I walked very fast outta that area. I hate bats!!!! Then we went around a corner, more fish, then low and behold there are 2 dang turkeys there, loose, not cages up, but walking around. Oh my gosh!!! Two of the class tried to walk passed calmly and the dang turkey chased them! Then they turned and came after us. I ran as fast as I could. My gosh, never in my life have I been that scared! I was ready to go up the "down coming escalator" but we went back toward the turkey hoping to find a employee of the museum. We did and he laughed at us and then stood in front of the turkey so we could get by, at the very end he told those turkey "kill boys!" All of us screamed and put our legs in overdrive! I am a city person, I don't belong in the wilderness, or around any wildlife! Enough for me! I got chased by a turkey for crying out loud!
Mothers Day Starts Early
Yesterday Austin brought home the prettiest flower. He even told me how to take care of it ;-). It is very pretty though, and my favorite color, Purple! We got it planted last night, Austin checks on the flower all the time to make sure it hasn't died. Gee, ya think he trusts me with the flower? Haa!
Christa
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there!
