Diane's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 10, 2000

I am very happy with the way this weekend's visit with Austin turned out. I picked him up Saturday after his soccer game and we went over to a friend's house so he could play with her son. After a couple of minor bumps in the beginning, Austin settled in nicely and was actually a joy to be around. Sunday morning we planted sunflower seeds together with Alex, and it was quite a nice time. Austin actually played with Alex and Adam more this weekend than he has in a very long time. I think he even enjoyed it! I'm so glad that I have something positive to say about our time together as lately it has been very hard to find the good.

Austin's first appointment with his therapist is over spring vacation and I'm hoping it will go well for him ... and for us. I'm also hoping he will enjoy having someone to talk to about all of the things that are bothering him lately so maybe he can figure it all out. He seems to be very happy living with his dad and having him all to himself. I don't mind it so much as time goes by because he seems to enjoy it. I do secretly hope he will want to move home when we move into our new house. One can hope.

There is just so much going on lately with Austin, the new baby coming and trying to get all of this new house crap figured out. I'm so stressed about it all. By Friday we will have a definite answer about the mortgage and it had better go through because I have no desire to unpack all the boxes I've packed already. And with the baby coming in June, there simply isn't enough room where we are now. I'm praying and praying everything works out for the best because I simply can not handle another disappointment. Ugh! Life and it's so amusing.

Well, that's about all for now. Not very exciting I'm afraid. I'll keep you posted on the house and the baby and Austin and all the fun stuff.
