Diane's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 24, 2000

Happy Easter to everyone!!!!! We have been very busy lately doing all sorts of stuff in preparation for moving day. Yes, we got the house!!!!!! I'm so excited over having our new home just in time for the arrival of the baby. I'm not excited by how much work is going to be involved in making everything comfy and feel like home. I made a valiant attempt today to get some boxes unpacked and put away after our closing, but that was a joke. Try doing that while watching two children run around an empty house ... it was not easy on the nerves that's for sure. I gave up after about an hour and a half. Some things are just better left until after children are asleep.

Austin is eagerly anticipating this weekend when he will get to see the house for the first time. Hopefully, by then I will have everything in its place so it doesn't look like a train went through it.

I was so very proud of him this evening. He was one of six children chosen to read before the Board of Education. He did such a great job reading and wasn't nervous even with the television camera pointing at him. It is going to be on our local cable station so I will have to tape it. He looked so grown up. It's amazing how much more you notice each detail about them when you don't see them every day. I miss him so very much.

Well that's about it for now. Joe is waiting patiently to take the computer apart so he can move it to the new house. I'm hoping it won't take him too long to get it all put back together so if I miss an entry you'll know who to blame.

Take care and God Bless-

Diane
