Donna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 10, 2004

Very quick update, though I know I’m going to miss a lot on this once since it’s been so long since I’ve updated.

I’ll start with Mother’s Day. We had a very nice day. Last week when I went shopping with Donna, I tried on a gorgeous ring. I hinted to Ashlee about it, but never thought I would get it. Well, not only did I get it, I also got a Lampe Berger. So, I did pretty well in the gift category this year. ;-) We went to Guadalajara for lunch, then went to see Grandma Tootsie, then went back to my parent’s house.

Ashlee’s 8th grade dance was Saturday night. She wore a very pretty hot pink dress and heels that lasted, as I suspected, about 30 minutes. I volunteered for the first hour, and when I left she was all smiles and having a good time. A couple weeks ago she was inducted into the Junior Honor Society, which is very cool. She also brought home her poem that was entered in the contest a while back (three from the whole 8th grade were entered; it was about being in prison during the Holocaust). I’m going to type it up and submit it with my next update. She did an incredible job on it.

Michael played his last regular season baseball game Saturday. And what a game it was! He pitched awesome, and hit in the winning run. He got the game ball. To top it off, his grandma, grandpa, aunt and uncle were there to see. Playoffs start sometime this week. Go Rangers!

Katie had her last Girl Scout meeting last Thursday. She got her badges. The troop is going to Build-A-Bear this Sunday. She’s very excited about that. She also went home on the bus with Christopher Friday after school. Both of them were so excited about it. They are so cute.

On a sad note, my Grandma’s sister, Aunt Maggie, died Saturday night. It’s so sad to see them slowly all going. But I guess that’s the way things work.

Until next time.
