Donna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 13, 2003

Last Sunday we took the kids crabbing at Pine Gully Park. They had so much fun! We only caught one, but that’s OK. We’ll catch more next time. After we decided the tide had ruined our chance of catching anymore crabs, we started fishing. Or should I say, we started feeding the fish shrimp. When we had enough of that, we drove to Kemah and ate lunch at the Flying Dutchman, then took a train ride.

Michael’s baseball team won their first game. Tonight was their second (both games last week were rained out). They lost, but it was a real exciting game. Michael was the tying run in the bottom of the last inning. The player was thrown out at first, so his run didn’t count. Oh, well. We’ll kick butt next time.

Ashlee’s volleyball team has won one game. At least they broke their streak. :-) She is definitely the best on the team.

Ashlee went camping with the Bells on Sunday night. We drove up and cooked out with them, but didn’t spend the night. We had an ax throwing contest, which I was terrible at. Richard and Sandra were pretty darn good at it. After burning anything we could find in the fire, we drove home. When Ashlee came home the next morning, she told me she woke up to a 2-inch spider on her pillow. She HATES spiders. LOL

What’s up with Katie? She’s really enjoying Girl Scouts this year. Thursday night is her first investiture ceremony. She’s also got a mouth on her lately. She’s been saying “shut up” a lot, and “whatever” when you correct her. Not good.

Until next time.
