Donna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 22, 2003

Michael pitched for the first time last night – and did AWESOME!! I was a nervous wreck. The kid amazes me. He was completely relaxed. You would have thought he did it all the time. He pitched almost three innings, then they pulled him because we were winning 13 to 1! He struck out six batters and only one guy got a hit off of him. One! He got the game ball too. Go Michael! The final score was 13 to 3. The Rangers are now 5 and 1.

Ashlee’s volleyball team won two of the three games Saturday. She’s doing really well and is playing more aggressive. She is a little cocky, though. All of the team is new to volleyball, and she’s said more than once than “she IS the team.” LOL Go Ashlee!

Today is Pajama Day at school. Michael wore regular clothes because he sleeps in his underwear. Katie wore her Blue’s Clues pajamas that are a little too small on her, so I made her also wear her pink robe. Yesterday was Tie Day, which was easy. Tomorrow is Hat Day and Friday is Athletic Jersey Day. Don’t you just love Red Ribbon Week?

Yesterday I had lunch with Grandma Tootsie, Mom and Uncle Dick at Cracker Barrel. Grandma seemed to be doing better. She even talked about Grandpa at one point. Her only complaint was that Cracker Barrel “doesn’t know how to cook greens.” We told her nobody can cook like she did.

Bird Update: Willie is talking. He’s still not that clear, but you can definitely make out “Good boy” and “uh oh.” He is also trying to say “apple” (he LOVES apples) and “Willie.” Go Willie!

Until next time.
