Donna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 12, 2003

Ashlee got her braces on today. It took them three hours to put them on her. The woman who did it told me she is “one tough girl.” She is now full of metal. Boy, does she have a mouthful. She’s not sore -- yet. I know by tonight she’ll be asking for Tylenol. She actually took her very first pill this morning, and was so proud of herself. I really didn’t think she would do it, but she actually got it down.

Not too much has been going on around here. We’ve been Christmas shopping a lot. I’m almost done. Richard and I went to Donna and Randy’s Christmas party last Saturday night. We had a good time. Considering that they had servers coming around taking your drink order before you even finished what you had, we stayed sober. :-) Ashlee babysat, so I didn’t want to stay out too late. She’s still nervous being at home by herself at night. She turns every light on in the house.

I took the kids to see Grandma Tootsie a couple weeks ago. Michael was so cute. When she was awake, he would stand beside her, rubbing her arm. When she was sleeping, he would walk over and rub her feet and legs. Ashlee was quiet, as usual, and Katie was on her best behavior.

Katie has a party tomorrow at Chuck E. Cheese, and then we’re going to go look at houses. Poor Ashlee, who is usually so excited when Katie or Michael has a party at Chuck E. Cheese, is bummed. She definitely can’t gnaw on pizza tomorrow. :-)

Until next time.
