Heather's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 21, 2003

Not much to report this week. I guess I just want to get into the habit of updating every week.

Some of you may remember me talking about the hockey game that the boys and I went to a couple of months ago. (What a blast!) Well, I scored some tickets to a college basketball game here in town. It’s the SMSU Bears playing! I’m excited. I am sure it will be tons of fun! I’m not really into sports, but I do enjoy attending sports events. They are always fun.

The boys are doing fine with school. Actually, Chris’s teacher sent a note home. She talked about wanting to have a phone conference sometime soon. I just haven’t had time to do it yet. Hmm, I wonder what it could possibly be about????

Andrew and I have been working on a few projects in our home. We just can’t grasp the concept that we can CHANGE anything we want in this house! It’s so amazing! Right now, we are working on the 4th bedroom, which is down in the basement. It is not functional yet because we haven’t finished it. As soon as we do get it done, we can move our computer and all office-related items into that room! It will be an exciting day. We ripped up the carpet in there and painted the cement floor a deep tile-red. We will be sealing it, and our next project is to paint the walls. We finally decided on a color today! It’s going to be a dark yellow with a Burnt-Sienna glaze finish on top. It’s really great!

I have a work party to attend this weekend. Unfortunately, Andrew can’t make it. I suppose I will have to go alone. I never did care about stuff like going to parties alone, though. It just doesn’t phase me. I’m not sure if there will be alcohol or not. I have never been to any of these work parties yet. (I’ve only been there a year.) There’s nothing worse than seeing drunken co-workers. Of course, it does make for really GREAT stories the next day if you are the sober one!

Well, I guess that’s all for us. Join us next week!
