Introduction

First, I have to say to my readers that I am VERY sorry that I have been MIA for so long. I have had a lot going on, some of which I will write about today. I still do not have internet at home but this will change VERY soon, I promise.

A VISIT FROM MY DAD
My dad came to visit us from Israel (where my parents reside) the first part of August which was such a blast for the boys. Unfortunately, a lot of very stressful things were happening to Andrew and I during that same time as well as to my dad (totally unrelated) that tainted the visit. The boys did not know anything and they had just as much as fun with him as they ever would. They call him "Gimpa" but on this particular trip my dad came up with some silly names and the name that stuck was "Giddy-Gaddy Grandaddy" which the boys thought was absolutely hilarious!!!! Too cute. We were very excited to have him stay with us and visit for the time that he could. We only really see them once a year so we had to make this really special, although this particular time, my dad had not seen the boys in TWO years.

SCHOOL
School started the 19th of August for us and it was a mad rush to get everything done that needed to be done. At the time, I really didn't have the money for all the clothes the boys needed for school, so I just hit the summer sales racks and bought a few new outfits so they could at least have something new to wear on the first day. I did hit some consignment stores because kids clothes are so cheap and they are usually in great condition. They both got new backpacks and I decided against a "theme" backpack this year, mostly because we couldn't find what they needed and because I knew they needed more space for all their folders and books. They were fine with this.

A TRIP TO DALLAS
My parents had invited us to come visit them while they would be in Dallas the weekend of August 20th. My mom was flying in that Thursday and her half-sister lives there, but her sister from Florida was flying in as well as her brother from Lubbock. We were excited to go. They all pitched in and helped us with the hotel expenses which really touched me!!! They wanted us to be there so badly. We arrived LATE Friday night and spent all day Saturday with the family. It was like a mini reunion and we all had such a good time. Everyone was so excited to see the boys. They were the only young kids there, poor things. LOL They had a good time as soon as they figured out that my teenage cousins Gabe and Danny had Playstations and an X-box in their rooms! LOL

On Monday before we left, we took the boys to a place called Malibu Speed Zone which is a HUGE arcade (with a bar for the adults) as well as go-cart tracks, race car (go-cart size) tracks, and they even have a drag racing track which is difficult to explain but anyone can do it. It's WAY cool. They had a blast there. Andrew and I used to go there while we were living there and always had a great time.

ALL ABOUT ME (A SLIGHT SCARE)
Dallas was great fun for me to. I was able to visit with a good friend of mine from Israel who has been living in Dallas for about 7 years now. It was so good to see him. We hit the town Saturday night and had a blast. (I actually LOVE Dallas). When we lived there before it really stressed me out but I think I could easily go back. Andrew made a statement to me that he did actually miss living there. I told him that I really did too. (Who knows??? It might be in our future to move back but definitely not anytime soon).

I have been having a few health problems recently. A couple of weeks ago, I went to an urgent care facility because I was having very painful periods. They prescribed me tramadol and sent me on my way. It didn't help the pain but at least cut it in half so that I could sleep at night. I called my GYN to make an appointment and they scolded me (as usual) for not coming in sooner for a yearly. *Whatever* I knew I needed to go but I didn't really need to be treated like a child. Anyway, the nurse scheduled me for two weeks from the day I was in urgent care so that they would have enough time to take care of a pap and have my problems addressed. The appointment was this past Monday, and when I was there I explained what had happened, my history of painful periods before having kids, etc. When the doctor came in, he asked me all sorts of weird questions but because I work in a medical office I know that anything can be relative, so I answered them with no ease. They talked to me to keep me calm knowing my blood pressure had been up slightly, but as he was doing my breast exam, he told me that there was a lump there and asked if I had ever noticed this before. I was in SHOCK!!!! I told him that no I had no noticed it (but what do I know)?? He went on to do my pelvic exam and then had the nurse schedule me for a breast ultrasound to find out what it was. He said there was nothing he could do yet for my period problems until we figured out what the lump was.

Obviously on Monday I was very scared. I didn't know what to think. I knew it was probably nothing but still your mind wanders, right? I had my ultrasound on Wednesday and afterwards the doctor (radiologist) came in to speak with me. She told me that there was nothing to worry about because it was just a cyst that would probably disappear on its own. (I was very relieved to hear this). She said that in the event it became painful, they could aspirate it (draw fluid out with a needle) but that more than likely it would reduce in size and disappear. I thanked her for her time and went back to work. I told all the girls the news and they hugged me and told me they were so glad. (My co-workers are so supportive).

Anyway, there is SO much that is going on in our lives right now. Too much to write, in fact, but in short we are moving and we have to downsize to a smaller place. Since we are in the middle of that, I don't know how often I can update but I will try to do it as often as I can. We should get reconnected to the internet soon because once we are moved, we will have a little more extra money at the end of each month. *Yay*

Until next time,

Heather, Ben, and Chris
