Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 24, 2002

If you don't live in the South East, you may not have heard of this creepy mortician guy in TN who regularly hid bodies he was supposed to cremate. All the information I have is second hand, so my facts may be a little off. Over 100 bodies have been found on his family land. He and his sister have been arrested and denied bail. What are they being charged with? (If I can find the time while I'm on line, I may see if I can look this up, but online time is very limited for me right now. I'm in my apartment complex's office using the computer.) Well, back to this creepy guy. I guess I should cut to the point. Wes' grandmother was supposedly cremated by this guy in 1998. They've tested the remains and have found that they are human, but that provides little solace. I seems that others have human remains, but their loved one's bodies have been found leaving the question: "Whose remains are these?" Do we have Alice's? I hope so.
We have not told Kirk anything. We think it's best to wait until we know that there is something to tell. We hope there won't be, though.
Wes isn't taking this whole thing very well, nor should he. I can't describe to you how important Alice was to Wes. I can't even begin to express in writing how he felt when she died. And now? It's surreal.
I really need to write about something else. Well, were back in Lancaster and Kirk is back in school. He is thrilled. We've decided to allow him to walk to school. He has to cross one big intersection, so I walk him there and back, but he does the rest on his own. He thinks he's big. Maybe his is, but I refuse to see it. He's still my baby.
Since I've been back, I worked on Providence and an upcoming movie "Like Mike." Mom's if your kids a fan of Lil Bow Wow, you'll be going to see this one. I lucked out. Kirk could care less, but we had to keep the Brittany Spears movie a secrete. I can't bear going to see that one. After three days on "Like Mike" our car died. The engine blew. That sucks. We're stuck in the Antelope Valley. We're getting out tax return tomorrow and plan on buying a new car. Not NEW so much as different. Well, I better go. I told Wes I was looking up the number for a bank on Switchboard.com and he's gonna’ be missing me.
See ya,
Jenna
