Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 27, 2002

So today was Lookin' Good Lancaster. Huh? It's a clean up the city day. Kirk and I volunteered and had a ball. I am ashamed to admit I'm already a bit sore. What is there to tell about Kirk? He's doing well in school. Of course. His reading is great. Of course. He's going nutty about Spiderman. Of course. He's pretty much being an average 7-year-old boy.
He's got a little buddy in the neighborhood. He comes over after school some times. His name is Timothy. He seems very nice. He rides his bike and Kirk rides his scooter and they hang out and do stuff. I'm still being terribly over protective. Of course. I’m trying to loosen up a bit.
My mom is coming out for a visit in about a week and Kirk is stoked. He has such big plans. I don't know what we'll do beyond going to see Spiderman opening weekend. Of course. There is nothing to write. Kirk, I love you. If you read this in 5 years don't think that you were boring. I just don't have anything to write.
Oh, there is one thing. Kirk saw a "real" Mayor today. We were at the barbeque for Lookin' Good Lancaster and the Mayor got up to speak and I told Kirk "That's the Mayor" and he said "A real one?" I said "Yes." He thought it was cool. He had to tell my mom about it on the phone later.
Oh, wow something else. Kirk found bones today. While we were cleaning we found 2 vertebrae and some various pieces of longer bigger bones-maybe leg bones. They were all from fairly large animals. He begged me to let him take them home. I just couldn't. After begging and pleading I agreed that if he found a skull-that was not human-he could keep it. Just as I had hoped, he did not. Lucky me.
See Kirk, you aren't boring. Mommy just has a really terrible memory.
