OMG, it has been nearly a months since I last wrote. I am so sorry. Between work, RFKC, and the kids I feel like I don't have a moment to myself.
Since I last posted:
Wes has come to town for the weekend. It was less than 48 hours, but it was still very nice. It was just what I needed. We went on a date, had family time, slept in the same bed (Yah!). We felt almost like a really married couple. It was such a relief.
School has ended. Kirk is officially a first grader! I don't know if that is something I can handle. He keeps growing and he is doing it too fast. He gets bigger and smarter every day. He's doing the vacation reading program at the public library. He's already done 17 books--I have read some of them.
We did Royal Family Kids Camp. I can't tell you what a blessing it is to be a part of this camp. For those who don't know, it is a camp for abused, battered, and neglected children in the care of DFCS. It is amazing to see children who could never trust learn to over the course of 5 days. We form bonds with these children that will last a life time. RFKC.org is the web site. There may be one in your area.
Now I am back to work. Did I ever say that I wanted to be back in the work force? I take it back. I am just so tired. My job is good for me, but it is still a job. At least I get paid.
That's all I have time for now. I've got to go to the bank, the grocery store, the car insurance agency, the post office. . . . You know how it is.
