Well, as of today, Kirk is off track. I'll have him home wit me for a month. It'll be the closest we've come to summer vacation. Kirk spent his two whole weeks of vacation in Georgia visiting my parents. I'm afraid it won't be very exciting for him. The most we'll be able to do durring the week is go to the pool. My sister just spent 2 months in France and also visited Ireland, Rome, and the French Alps, to name a few others. She colected rocks for Kirk from all over Europe. Kirk has a rock colection. When we go places--the beach for instance--we colect a few rocks. We write the date and place on them. He gives one to my mom and keeps one or two for himself. Well, Melanie's about to help him make one cool colection.
When Kirk found out Melanie was going to Rome, he really wanted her to go see the Coloseum. Not only did she visit it, she got him a rock from it. He doesn't know yet. He's going to find out when she comes to visit.
Kirk has been doing really well in school. He was among a group of students honored today for good conduct for the past month. He's been able to finish his math class work along with his math homework in class. His reading is still improving and he is doing well with his spelling. They jumped right into studing this year--which I love--and Kirk seems to be enjoying it. I'm a little disappointed that he'll be off track already. I was enjoying working with him on his homework every night. I imagin he's not too disappointed, though.
