We're half way through Kirk's break. I've enjoyed having him home and love having the extra time with him, but I am looking forward to only have Anne in the mornings. (Aaron has just started Head Start Preschool and is gone until 11:30.) Things will be so much quieter. This break has given us more time to spend with Kirk. We're not having to worry so much about him getting to bed early or taking the time to complete homework, so it's given us much more freedom.
Kirk and Wes put a model F-16 together the other night. Kirk got it for Christmas, but we just never got around to doing it with him. I think they had a lot of fun. Wes enjoys doing models, so it's good for them to share a hobby like that.
Kirk and I got to be a test audience for The Wild Thornberries Movie. He really enjoyed it, and I've got to say, it's neat seeing something before anyone else. I really enjoyed being able to spend time with just Kirk. I can't remember the last time we did that. Normally, if I'm there the babies are too. It was nice driving down to the theater--it was in Van Nuys which is about an hour away from us--and having that time to talk with Kirk and just be with him. I really need to do that more often.
