Wow! What a month we've had! We went for a holiday in Milton Ontario!! We had a great time. We drove up to Calgary with Grama and Grampa and stayed the night in a hotel there. We woke very early the next day to take the flight to Hamilton!! What a ride that was. Tyler was so excited to get on that plane, and he just had to have a window seat. Not sure why he played his gameboy most of the time.
We arrived in Hamilton after our 4 hour flight to a very warm welcome and some very hot weather, It didn't bother us though because we had a air conditioned limo waiting for us for our drive to Milton. The limo was great, very cool with music, a tv and lots of beverages!! The only draw back was there was no bathroom in there!! :-( All those sodas we drank!! heehee!!
Once we arrived in Milton the fun really got going! Tyler got to meet some of his cousins, and aunts and uncles. It was great for him! We spent many nights sitting around talking and laughing and getting silly. We were all so happy to be there with each other. The kids all got along great for just being thrown together. They played like they'd known each other for years! It was wonderful.
We took the kids to Niagra Falls! We all thought it was great! Who knew you had to pay for the bus rige up and down though!! Opps! I really wanted to ride the maid of the mist but there were so many people there that I just didn't get to it! I know Tyler would have loved that! Maybe next time.
The boys all got some golfing in and Tyler did very well!! He still needs some lessons though.
We did take the kids to Playdium when we were there! I'm not sure who had more fun, us or the kids!! We really like the movie ride there! It was great, we wanted to go again and again on that one! I think next time we go we'll stop there again for sure!!
The ride home was very long and quiet. I'm sure everyone was lost in their own thoughts and memories that we just shared together. It was great to see everyone let loose and some fun with the family.
Tyler really had a great time and it was very hard for him to say good bye. We all decided that we would say goodbye, we said see you soon. Thirteen years was just to long between visits! We are hoping to do this every summer, or maybe Christmas!! That would be a wonderful Christmas present I think!!
