I must say I'm glad Christmas is over! There is always so much going on and then it's over just like that.
We had a really nice Christmas this year. Lee's parents have just moved to Summerland this summer, so we were able to spend it with them. That was the first Christmas we've had with them since we've been together. Tyler had a great time. Tyler and his Grandpa are terrible together, always beating each other up, and picking on each other. It's great. I love to see them together. I'm really glad they moved here.
Every Sunday morning, Grandpa comes at 7 a.m. to pick up Tyler and they go for breakfast at A&W. Every Saturday night, Tyler sets his alarm clock for 6 a.m.. and every Sunday morning he gets up and gets dressed and gets ready, so when Grandpa pulls in the driveway he's ready to go!
The first time they went, Grandpa let Tyler have a cheeseburger and a pop for breakfast. (I don't think so, Grandpa!) Well, now they both know, so he just has a muffin and hot chocolate.
We spent Christmas day with Grandma and Grandpa. We went to their house for dinner and it was wonderful! I didn't have to cook. All day, Tyler played his Game Boy he got for Christmas. We didn't mind -- it was Christmas -- and he really wanted one. We weren't going to get him one because we just got a Playstation a few months before, but we were out shopping and thought “Why not?” And we did! I was so excited to see his face when he opened it, that I wanted to give it to him as soon as we got home! I didn't, though, but I did wrap it in a really big box so he wouldn't have any idea what it was. (I'm so mean!) I did the same thing to the game we got him for his Game Boy. I didn't want him to guess at all.
Sometime between Christmas and the New Year, we caught a cold. Well, I know where I caught it from -- Tyler! He was so nice to share with us all! So that made a quiet night for us this New Year’s Eve! We went over to Lee's parents house until about 9 p.m. and I was asleep before midnight! I couldn't help it; I just felt awful. But I think we are all feeling better now and are getting back to normal. Whatever normal may be for us!
Talk to you again soon!
Jo
