Paris's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 24, 2001

Hi to all my wonderful readers! Can you believe it? I'm actually up here on Children Today! Okay, everybody, up! Come on, get up out of that chair! Okay, ready? Big happy dance! Let's go! Ha ha! See now I'm wondering if any of you actually got up! HA!

Anyway, I am more than thrilled to be writing my first entry over here! It has come at the perfect time! Alex started at his new school today! He wasn't too thrilled at first but after about 20 minutes he jumped right in. :0) When I went to pick him up, the kids were all outside yelling and playing. He was right in there like a dirty shirt. A few kids made a point of saying goodbye to him and that they would see him tomorrow. I thought that was nice.

His teacher is awesome! I love the way she handles the kids. I was watching her and a little girl wasn't listening and wasn't going to get in the line to go back in the class. The teacher told her to hurry up and then the little girl started yelling back at the teacher, Mrs. Not-sure-of-her-name-yet (ha ha!) said, "Don't you give me any of that!" It was great! I thought yes! This is what my child needs! She seems like a great teacher!

I was also incredibly impressed with the school. I was walking through and they have different rooms for all sorts of different things and I was so happy to see a Music Room! I think they start with music in grade four. That was definitely something that his last school was lacking. So, from what I've seen, I think this new school and I will get along just fine! :0)

On the home front, Alex has made about a million friends I think! It sure seems like a million anyway. The strange thing is that, in Barons most of the kids were boys and here, most of the kids are girls. Once in a while, Alex turns into the littlest dictator and gets sent to his room to calm down. I know all these changes have been hard on him but I'm not going to let him get away with this kind of behaviour! He's already earned the nickname 'Mr. Attitude'! Ha ha!

Well, dancing gals, that's it for this entry. :0) I'm sure I'll update soon! One more thing actually, leave me a message! Ha ha! If you're out there and you're reading, just click on the yellow talk to me button below and let me know! I do love having visitors! Tons of hugs to you and yours!

Don't forget to keep smiling!

Paris and Alex :0)
