June 3, 2001
We were treated to a "Special Person Night" with Alex's kindergarten class! It was great! We all met at the bowling alley and the kids got together and put on a little show. They did five songs. Each one was for a different special person (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, sister, brother, aunt and uncle). After they sang, they danced the Chicken Dance. Then we all joined in for another round of the Chicken Dance. It was lots of fun! We were each presented with a gift and even a little plant. Then we proceeded to play a very disorganized game of bowling! Ha ha!
Alex is having a great time at school. I can't believe all the extra activities and field trips that they have at this school. He's already gone and made cookies at one of the other parent's houses, went to the greenhouse, had Special Person night, and tomorrow they are going to the Animal Hopsital. On Thursday, they are taking their pets to school. Real pets! The parents have to be with the animal at all times obviously. :0) It seems like a great school though and I'm really happy we switched him.
Things are pretty much still a zoo with a million children always around. Ha ha! I don't mind; although, I may have a different opinion when the end of August hits! :0)
Til next week, keep smiling!
Paris and Alex :0)
