Paris's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
June 13, 2001
Alex participated in his first Sports' Day at school! He was on the yellow team! They took all the kids in school and put them on different teams. Alex's team won! Yay! He got a green ribbon which he made him so proud! When Victoria and I got to the school to pick Alex up, they were all heading into the gym. I was so glad I didn't take Quinn with me today because that would have been a nightmare!
Once they were all arranged in the gym for their awards ceremony, the different teams let out one last cheer! It was really cute. At the end of those cheers, the whole school did a cheer! My goodness that was LOUD! There were about 200 children screaming, "We've got spirit! Yes, we do! We've got spirit! How about you?" At the end of that one, I wanted to yell out, "Yes, I do too! I have spirit!" Ha ha! That kind of enthusiasm sort of grows on you! :0) There were younger children there running out crying though because it was so loud. Alex thoroughly enjoyed himself though and that's what counts! :0)
He did really well with Victoria's birthday. I thought he might be jealous or something but he was great! He even got to go with Daddy to pick out her birthday present. Basically, I told Peter to take Alex because kids got 10% off on Friday! Ha ha! Alex felt important though and did a wonderful job of not telling her what the gift was. It was a hamster, by the way. I think those things are nocturnal in self-defence! Ha! The kids love it but I'm glad it sleeps most of the day away. It makes my life easier.
My Mom will be here on Saturday. Alex hasn't really been all that excited about it. I don't know why. Maybe he's finally learning patience? No, I doubt that. I still don't have any patience! Ha ha!
Til next week, keep smiling!
Paris and Alex :0)
