Paris's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |

We've had an interesting week to say the least! :0) Lots of firsts for Alex! Some fun, some not so fun. The week started out with Alex getting his first punch in the mouth. That wasn't so fun! A little boy down the street had enough of Alex's bossiness I guess and hauled off and punched him. While I don't think this type of behaviour is acceptable, I could see that Alex had it coming. And, it has helped tone down his attitude and bossy demeaner! He was fine too - just a split lip and the great thing is that kid hasn't been around since! All he did was cause problems.
Alex's fun thing was that he got his hair dyed! Purple! Ha ha! He came up to me and asked me if he could dye his hair purple, I said no! He asked me why not. I said because you just can't! Great answer I know. So, my little munchkin said, "Well, Mom, why is it okay for you to dye your hair and it's not okay for me to dye mine?" I thought, "Hey, that's a pretty good question." I turned to him and I said, "Okay, let's do it now!" The look on his face was priceless! I think it was fear! Ha ha! I told him to go get Noelle from next door and tell her I needed to ask her something. She came over and we proceeded to dye his hair purple with Kool-Aid! Ha! It was great! It didn't really take though so I did it again later. After about 2 hours, he was screaming that it was too itchy so I gave him a bath and took it all out. I asked him later that night if he was going to push me for things that I say no to the first time. He said he didn't think he would! Ha ha!
The most adorable thing happened with Alex this week as well! Kayla was over playing. She lives next door. She's 7. They had all these things and were playing and sorting them on the games table. I asked what they were doing. They explained that they were playing house. I said alright. About 5 minutes later, I heard Alex say, "Kayla, here let me give you this wedding ring!" and she said, "Okay." Ha ha! I just about died laughing! It was a real ring too. I guess it was Kayla's! Alex's first proposal! Too cute! Kayla's dad was sitting outside talking to Peter so I yelled out the window what the kids had just said, Peter and Joe started laughing too. That's when Kayla decided she didn't like that game and the wedding was off! Ha! It's okay, I don't think I'm prepared for that just quite yet.
Have a great week and keep smiling!
Paris and Alex :0)
