Cory seems to be making some improvements in school. I talked to his
teacher recently and she said he seems to working harder. That's a relief.
You see, Cory is very intelligent -- but also very lazy. He usually works
harder at getting out of doing work than at actually doing the work. Tony
and I are hoping that his Hap-ki-do lessons are helping him with focus and
discipline. He's been taking it for two months now, so maybe we are seeing
changes already ... maybe not.
Things have a little difficult for Cory lately. I have a 5-year-old boy in
my day home, and he and Cory just don't get along at all. They seem to rub
each other the wrong way. Monday morning Cory was upset and said that he
would rather spent his time "n his damn room" than with the other boy.
Later, we talked about words, and how even if you're mad you need to find
other words to express yourself. He told me that he wasn't mad; he was
"pissed off."
