He's also obsessed with divorce. Every time Tony and I argue he says, "Oh,
I guess now you're getting a divorce." It all seems a little strange. No
one in either of our families is divorced (except my dad -- my mom's his
second wife -- but Cory doesn't know that). I asked him if any of his
friends' parents were getting a divorce and he said no and then launched
into a lengthy description of one of his friend's cuts. Yuck. So, I think
it may be from the little 5-year-old I watch, he comes from a very broken
home. It's funny, he hears us argue and always assumes the worst ... I
finally told him that his dad and I aren't splitting up and no to worry
every time we argue.
But if anyone has lunch advice, I'd really appreciate it!!
I'm at my wit's end with Cory. We've been battling over his school lunches
since he started garde two. I pack him a sandwich, fruit, cookies, a treat
... all he eats is the treat and usually the cookies. He says he's sick of
sandwiches but rejects all the alternatives I give him. And if I don't pack
him treats and cookies to try to force him to eat the healthy stuff, he
doesn't eat anything. I don't know what to do anymore....
