Hi all!
It has been a crazy week! We have been moving to a new home (its really cool... an old farmhouse that has been remodeled inside... HUGE living room/dining room, 3 bedrooms with an extra room that can be used as a 4th bedroom, and a wonderful fenced backyard... we LOVE our new house) but boy do I HATE moving. Oh well, better now than 6 months from now... we knew we would have to move before the new baby arrives because there simply was not room in our old house for 5 people.. so I figured now would be the easiest time to move.
Then, a few days ago, my keyboard died. Don't know what the problem was, it simply would not type at all anymore, no matter what keys you typed, nothing happened. It was old and had had many things spilled on it... I imagine that might have had something to do with it. :) So I was unable to type till I got a new keyboard, which I did today. Everything is shifted just slightly from where it was on my old keyboard, which is making for some interesting typing boo-boos... thank goodness for SpellCheck! :)
I am officially (according to my calculations anyhow... my first official OB appointment is December 26th) 7 weeks today. I am still experiencing EXTREME tiredness all the time (combine that with the exhaustion caused by moving, and I could take a nap continually for the next week...LOL) and I get nauseous if I don't eat something about every 3 hours. I have to have a cracker break at school about 10:30 every morning. No barfing yet, thank goodness.
I am having a major dilemma. I have an appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed on Friday. The teeth are badly decayed and have needed to come out for quite some time. The dentist says it will be an "uncomplicated" extraction, it can be done with a local instead of general anesthesia. The OB says that it will be perfectly safe. THAT is not the problem. The problem is afterwards. According to the OB, there is NO pain medication that is safe right now. Only Tylenol. I am just not sure I can do it. Am I up to 3-4 days of quite a lot of pain with no possibility of relief? Or will the bottle of pre-pregnancy-prescribed Lortab in the medicine cupboard prove to be too big of a temptation even though I know it is not a good idea?? I have considered postponing the dental visit, but the teeth cause me pain all the time right now, and I can't take anything for them, and I am thinking that 3-4 days of pain with no relief but with a definitive end in sight is a better idea than postponing and having DAILY pain until later in the PG when pain meds are safe. I don't know... opinions anyone??
Ariana's Christmas program is this weekend at church. I should be quite a sight... 24 hours after wisdom teeth removal with NO pain meds trying to be presentable at church for the program. But I am NOT going to miss it. It is going to be a really cute program, Ariana is dressed as an angel and she has a solo in the song "The Virgin Mary Had A Baby Boy". :)
All right, I am going to log off for now and get some sleep... I could sleep for a week, I swear. I may use the "I am recovering from dental surgery" excuse and take lots of extra naps this weekend while DH does childcare duty. :) Hope everyone is having a good week!
Tanya
