Suzi's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 3, 2000

One of the greatest things about living in Western Pennsylvania is the fact that we get four distinct seasons. Just when you're getting tired of one, the next one rolls around. Well, after this week, it's darn near time for the next one! It's been a string of school delays and cancellations here. Thank goodness for the web and early morning TV news! Of course, I've been up at 5:00 a.m. every day lately to check for what's going on and what's not. Any idea how many wet pairs of socks, pants, gloves, hats and jackets a couple of school-age boys can accumulate in one day???

Tonight Matthew's Cub Scout meeting was cancelled. That was good for a few minutes of moping.

sam's christening

Even Sam's Christening on Sunday wound up with all the cousins having a snowball fight in the churchyard. From what I understand, my Godson had to go for a throat culture yesterday as a result. Of course, at one point he'd looked like he'd ran his head under the faucet he was so drenched. Otherwise, the Christening went great. Samuel never woke up through the whole service (even when being doused with the water). In fact, he slept through being passed from Aunt to Aunt to Grandma and only woke to eat as we were cleaning up to leave the church hall. Well, tomorrow is the day Matthew is scheduled to get his front baby teeth extracted due to the permanent ones coming through. My dad's using a vacation day to ride shotgun with me, but from the looks of it we'll have to run my 4-wheel drive to get there!
