Suzi's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 5, 2001

So much has been going on again lately....
Winter basketball for Matt is winding up, the schedule was interrupted a bit by the high school team making it into the playoffs.
Aunt Margaret who you may remember me writing about last year, has turned 101!
Matthew recieved his top seller award for the Cub Scout popcorn sale...something like $56 in prizes between the local & district group! The same evening his rocket took 3rd place in the Pack's "Space derby".He then got a fantastic report card.
Nick's report wasn't as good...he's been having trouble staying on task.2 weeks ago he mooned the bus as Matt got off it in the afternoon....I was really expecting to get a phone call over that but I guess the driver missed it!Nick is doing well in his acro class though & looking forward to soccer 7 his first season of t-ball.
Sam is walking around saying "I Wanna Talk About Me!"I guess he's heard that Toby Keith song 1 too many times! It's so funny to hear it from a 2 year old!
Merideth finally has 2 teeth...she turned 10mths last week.
And sadly, a good friend passed away suddenly at the young age of 33 last week., then the next day Mike's grandmother who the kids were very close to passed away. Thankfully, she slipped away in her sleep...probably as peaceful as anyone could hope to go, at the age of 87.I'd like to pass along some tidbits from the touching eulogy her oldest grandson gave her....he rememberede her for really being a "Rosie the Riveter", for not putting on airs, being herself, putting family first & wound it up by asking everyone to go home & play a polka for Bertha.....
I'll just leave you with this thought this week....
