Suzi's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
March 17, 2001
It's been a busy week here. We're suddenly realising that we don't have much time till the arrival of Newbaby.(Still otherwise known as LB?)Therefore, last weekend we bagan The Great Bedroom Swap.
We started last Saturday with boxing up all the boys belongings & tossing accumilated junk.By the end of the day I was exhausted & the livingroom was crammed with all their clothes & some of their toys.Sunday I swapped the stuff in Mike's closet with their closet.Monday was a day off from the project due to the planned trip for Matt's First Communion/ Confirmation outfit.
Finally, by Wednesday afternoon we were ready for the Great Bed Swap....This took Mike's dad & stepmom's help.Of course Matt tried to help as much as he could~ running for tools & carrying the smaller bedparts back & forth.
By that night, even though there is still alot to be done and the furnature isn't in it's long term location, everyone slept in their "new" rooms. This ment for the first time Sam slept in the same room as the older boys. However, his crib is the only thing which hasn't moved. In the next week or so we'll hopefully move him into a toddler bed in the same spot & the crib will move into our room. Our room was Matt's nursery so the wall paper still matched the crib linen....Also,it's only 8X11~ not much room for us but it's one of those sacrafices we make for our kids!As I write this I've discovered that at 8mths pregnant it's best to only go at this project every other day~otherwise I can't walk very well by afternoon!I still have things to toss, all that little Happy Meal type stuff that kids accumilate & party favor type stuff. After that I have to go thru my clothes which are currently piled in the corner of the boys room~I need to fill some bags for Goodwill & get someone to take those then wash up the baby stuff & I think we're finally ready!
Lastly, I'll mention this is that week of Spring semester when I help with the high school musical. Luckily, an old friend is doing her student teaching & going to help me. I'll only have to be on site for dress rehearsal & the 3 performances.I just have to make sure I have sitter arrangements for the one night from th etime I need to be there till Mike gets home from work.
Wow~just rereading this exhausts me!
Until next week!
