Suzi's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 27, 2000

I guess I should start off by saying Matt won the crazy hat contest at school. All the winners get to participate in a Make Your Own Sundae Party.

After a couple more days of work by Mike, my vehicle now has a new engine. He accomplished that amidst all the holiday hubub ... egg hunts and family dinners. It seems to run great and now it doesn't smell like burnt oil when I pull up to a stop.

Speaking of eggs.... We wound up with probably a dozen and a half blue Easter eggs. When Nicholas and Moriah dyed eggs I might as well have only mixed up 2 colors. Nick put all his in blue and hers were mostly pink or purple. The next day when we did eggs at home (so Matt got to dye some too) the same thing happened -- all Nick's went in blue. I think tuna salad should be on the menu today or tomorrow. Gotta use up all the eggs left -- of course we still have a fridge full of other left overs.

There were more egg hunts and candy than necessary in my book. Nick had one at school. (plus an Easter parade and party). Both boys attended one at church and they had another at the grandparents.

Today is their first day back to school from the Spring vacation. I have two different meetings to attend later today, and Nick's school picnic is Friday. Saturday Matt has a soccer game as well as team photos. It seems as the school year winds down the activities rev up. Amidst all this I'm struck by how quickly they grow up. I look around and realize all this flies by rapidly. The whole school year has flown by and Sam already turned 4 months old! Well, gotta run -- it's time to get my littlest bunny fed and dressed before all the running starts!

Until next week!
