Suzi's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 21, 2001

Matthew seems to be growing up so quickly. He just celebrated his 1st Communion & Confirmation at church. He looked so serious & grown up in his suit.

He's also been such a big help around here with Sam while I tend to Merideth.Sam is such a fun loving kid that he tends to get into trouble alot. Yesterday,I was here alone with Sam & Meri for a bit. I'd just laid Meri I her crib & went into the living room to find Sam happily sitting in a fluffy cloud of diaper wipes which he was pulling one at a time from a pop up container. After cleaning up the mess I walked into the bedroom to check on Meri only to find another cloud~ this one a box of kleenex that Sam had also ransacked!

Matt has been busy with activities lately as well. He got to attend a game at the new ballpark. He also went to the theater with his class to see a musical version of Charlottes Web.With scouts he toured the State Police station. He has an ongoing project of raising plants froom seeds & helping with our garden. All this & we're in those maddening few weeks where soccer & baseball overlap.

He keeps telling me he's liking baseball better than soccer. He's been starting at catcher so far this season.I'm not sure about tonight though as he missed the last game due to direct conflict with soccer. The soccer coach was short on plauyers & without Matt would have had to forfeit.

Nicholas is now a preschool graduate. He acted as the narrator for the grad. program dressed as Uncle Sam. Nonni made his costume. Red & white striped pants & a bright blue tailcoat capped off with a glittery top hat. He's not happy that he's a bit too young to make the baseball registration cutoff. A few of his friends are playing on Matt's team. Once he plays his last soccer game next week, his activities are over till school starts again in the fall. He wants to start school now instead of having to wait till then!

I'll be busy the rest of the week with preperations for Merideth's Christening & a pig roast picnic to celebrate it & Matt's communion.

Well, I'm hang up my keyboard here for the week! It's 3:30AM & all is well~ you know the routine with a newborn under the roof!
