Suzi's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 19, 2000

These boys are growing up.I was standing at the bus stop with Matt when Nick came outside and told me "Sam is crying in the exersaucer so I made him a bottle." I panicked, and went inside thinking, "What would Nick put in Sam's bottle?" As I'm walking in I asked him, "How did you make Sam a bottle?" He says, I put the milk powder in it and filled it with water then shook it up to warm it."

I get inside and sure enough Sam is sitting in the exersaucer with a bottle that looks fine. I lifted him out and put him in the playpen to finish it.

The week has been full of events. Last night Mike committed to coaching Nick's U6 soccer squad. This is a big thing as this area wasn't into soccer when we were kids so most adults have little or no experience at the game. Pittsburgh was and still is first a football town. Another dad promised to lend a hand where he can and I'll be there as much as possible.

I was asked to help once again with the fall theater production at the school I graduated from. Both Matt and Nick had dentist appointments. Nick had to go back and have a weak area on a tooth filled.

The weather has finally turned cooler into typical western Pennsylvania fall. Some leaves are beginning to hint at the colors to come and local farmers are doing their harvesting and plowing. All this has made the kids begin to think about Halloween costumes. Nick wants to be Pickachu, along with about half the kids I've heard. The other half will probably be Harry Potter! Matt seems undecided but I found a "Soccer Head" guy today in Wal-Mart and bought it. I think with some netting and maybe some Astroturf he can go as some sort of soccer zombie.

Thursday night is open house at the elementary school and there is supposed to be a fall festival for the students hosted at the high school next week.

Well, 'til next update!
