Tanya's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 3, 2003

January 3, 2002
I have been e-mailing the web master to get a Moms Today diary up for me so I can write just one diary (easier to get one done a week instead of THREE) . I have not heard back from them so I guess I will have to continue separate diaries for now. I think if I only had one diary to write in I would be able to very easily do that once a week. *sigh* I will make the best of it.

The holidays have come and gone in a blink of an eye and I can’t believe it is over. ALREADY? I have to tell you that I have one of the best kids around. Seriously, I am not kidding. Even though we have out trials and there are moments when I just I want to go on a nice long vacation, I seriously LOVE being a mommy. These want to get away moments do not last very long and in fact I think I would be torturing myself if I left my kids for longer then 3-4 days. :o) I will try to recap all that has happened in the last month and a half.

I can’t believe Christmas is over all ready. It is almost sad that all the excitement and activity is done. Of course, it will be nice to get back into a routine and have things normal around here but the holidays will be missed in this household. I am so proud of Jt and what a considerate polite little boy he is. We decided to go ahead and do Santa this year; however he only brought one gift and stuffed a stocking. When Jt opened his gift from Santa and saw that it was a play station game he put on a smile and said “Oh, Santa must have mis-understood, we do not have a play station 2. I will just save this until I can save up enough money for a PS2. He was so sweet about it and did not throw a fit or cry. I had tears in my eyes as he opened up his gifts from us and saw that he did get a Play station 2 from us. He was so excited and SO thankful. He is still thanking us for all he got. Right now Jt is downstairs with his Dad playing a Hockey game and getting in all the play station time he can now because he knows that starting Monday he is only going to get 1 hour a day with the it. :o) and that is only after he finishes his homework and chores. :o)

Jt has had a very busy life since Thanksgiving. I will try to go back and refresh all the events that have gone on. Forgive me if I forget some stuff :o) Thanksgiving was wonderful and ended up being very pleasant. The kids got to go on the waterslides at the hotel and then when we went to go visit Grandmas house Jt took a walk in the woods with Daddy and got a ton of pinecones. We ate a very nice restaurant/lodge and it was as homey as you can get without being at home. There was a fireplace and each table had their own Turkey at the table. The following Sunday I had another Thanksgiving dinner I made and Oma and Pupa came as well as Jen, Jon and their family.

Jt had a Holiday Sing for School that was wonderful. Jt sang every song and looked so proud of himself. :o) We were impressed with how great he did. :o)

Hockey is going very well for Jt and seems to really be catching on quickly. He has his moments that he gives up or gets frustrated because he is not as good as all the other kids yet. We just keep reminding him that he has just started and all the other kids have been skating for 2-3 years already. I think that he will be very good if he keeps it up and stays excited about doing it.

On the add/hd front not much has changed. Jt continues to take 20 mg time release Ritalin once a day and is doing wonderful! He does not really have any side effects which is wonderful and so far I have no complaints.

I think Jt and I are both ready for school to start back up. Jt is getting bored sitting around the house and therefore gets restless and is always asking to do something ( which means go out and spend money lol )

Well, that is all for now. As I was writing this entry I had an idea I may use in the future. I tend to write on my toddler diary more regular so I may just do a Moms journal over there until I have the real one. I will write a short tagline here telling you each time my journal over at Toddler today has been updated. :o)

Take care
Tanya
