How can I let my child know he should not be ashamed about her bedwetting? How can I talk to her about it without damaging her confidence?
Not know the age of your youngster, or her history of bedwetting, this is a little tough, but there are some rules to talking to your kids about bedwetting. First of all, its important that you talk about the issue in a non-confrontational way. You can't get angry or act disappointed or your child will detect those unsaid emotions. You have to be supportive and tell her you will do whatever it takes to help her. Let her know it's not a big problem and that it will stop. She already feels bad about bedwetting; don't do anything to make her feel worse. You should visit a pediatrician to rule out any medical problem and then consider a child psychologist.
