Children Today's Advisor
Lisa Levy has been an educator for 10 years. She has taught kindergarten, first and
second grade. As a freelance writer, Lisa wrote supplemental science lessons for text books. Lisa earned her Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Michigan, her Master's degree in Education from National-Louis University, and an endorsement for teaching English as a Second Language from the Illinois Resource Center. Lisa lives in the Chicago area with her husband, almost 2-year-old son, and 10-year-old Golden Retriever. She recently retired from the classroom to spend more time with her son and to tutor elementary-age children in reading, writing and/or math.

She also developed her own reading/writing curriculum and has stayed with her class from first to second
grade.
